Markets begin at 8 AM and end at Noon. Each market will feature farm-fresh vegetables, locally grown and sourced meat, and more. This is a rain or shine market; the vendors will set up under the pavilion if it rains.

Vendor Rules


1. Vendor Eligibility and Approval

  • All vendors must submit a completed application and receive approval before participating in the market.

  • Only products grown, produced, or handmade by the vendor are allowed. No resale of mass-produced or factory-made items is permitted.

  • Vendors may not sublet or share their booth space with others unless specifically approved by market management.

2. Compliance and Permits

  • Vendors are responsible for obtaining and displaying all necessary permits, licenses, and certifications required by federal, state, and local authorities for the products they sell.

  • All food vendors must comply with local health and safety regulations, including proper labeling and safe food handling practices.

  • All vendors must be able to provide a copy of their liability insurance. 

3. Booth Setup and Operation

  • Vendors are responsible for their own booth setup and teardown, including tables, tents, and displays.

  • All canopies must be properly secured with weights to prevent accidents, especially in windy conditions. Unsecured canopies will not be allowed.

  • Vendors must post a sign with their business name and location clearly visible at their booth.

  • Booth spaces and assignments must be respected. Vendors must keep their area clean and free of debris during and after the market.

4. Market Hours and Attendance

  • Vendors must be set up and ready to sell by the official market opening time and remain until the market closes.

  • No vehicles are allowed to drive through the market area starting fifteen minutes before opening until fifteen minutes after closing.

  • Repeated late arrivals, early departures, or no-shows may result in loss of booth space or removal from the market.

5. Product Standards and Pricing

  • All products must be of high quality and accurately labeled with price and product information.

  • Vendors are responsible for honest marketing and may not engage in false advertising or collusion to fix prices.

6. Conduct and Safety

  • Vendors, staff, and volunteers must treat customers and each other with courtesy, respect, and honesty at all times.

  • No smoking, vaping, or consumption of alcohol or illegal drugs is allowed in the market area.

  • Vendors must immediately report any unsafe conditions to the market manager.

7. Fees and Reporting

  • Vendors must pay all required market fees and submit any necessary sales reports at the end of each market day. ($25 dollars per day, or 75 dollars per month.)

  • Failure to pay fees or submit reports may result in suspension or removal from the market.

8. Enforcement

  • Market management reserves the right to enforce all rules and may remove any vendor who fails to comply with these regulations.

  • Any grievances or disputes should be brought to the market manager for resolution in a respectful and non-confrontational manner/

9. Additional Guidelines

  • Vendors are encouraged to assist each other and contribute to a positive market atmosphere.

  • All displays and signage must be neat, safe, and not obstruct walkways or neighboring booths.

  • The market manager has final authority on all matters regarding vendor participation and market operations.

  • Hold Harmless Agreement

    By participating as a vendor at the Farmers Market held at the Farm of the Cultural Crossroads (419 East Union Street, Minden, LA 71055), I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Farm of the Cultural Crossroads (a 501(c)(3) charity), its officers, employees, volunteers, and agents from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including attorney fees) arising out of or related to my participation in the market, including injury to any person or damage to property, except those caused by the sole negligence of the organization.

    I also agree to comply with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations related to my participation in the market.

    By checking this box and submitting this form, I acknowledge that I have read, understand, and agree to this Hold Harmless Agreement.
